Today we’re sharing a very special moment from within our community 🤍

One of our Operations team members, Gabriel, is departing for Kolkata, India, where he will spend a month undertaking voluntary mission work.

As a team, we’ve felt such a deep sense of excitement and admiration watching Gabriel step into this journey. We’ve been genuinely moved by the heart behind his decision and the courage it takes to say yes to a calling like this.

When we asked Gabriel why he felt called to go, he shared that his faith has been gently and consistently guiding him toward serving those most in need. Inspired by Saint Mother Teresa’s selflessness, humility, and devotion to seeing Christ in the poor, Gabriel feels a profound calling to give not just his time, but his compassion, presence, and heart to this work.

Gabriel shared that “God has been bringing me to a place where I can undertake something like this,” and hopes this journey will be a time of learning, service, and reflection. It is an opportunity to further explore a path he has felt drawn to for some time and to discern whether this is something he is called to continue long-term. And with many of Elite’s customers, suppliers and even employees coming from India or of Indian heritage, it feels fitting to us that he has chosen to start his missionary work here.

We are incredibly proud to support Gabriel as he steps into this meaningful and courageous experience. We send him off with our love, prayers, and unwavering support, wishing him a safe and fulfilling journey.
